Since Merle Tingley retired there has not been a locally bound, locally themed editorial cartoon from London Ontario. With corporate buyouts by nationals, broken media and a syndicated feeds of owner opinions there just isn’t such a thing anymore.
We wanted this job since we were cub scouts.
Do I accept suggestions
These have always been our personal ‘grouchy old man’ letters to the editor. I hope they’re funny though.
There are groups and demographics I am just not familiar with, whose voice I can’t appropriate and there is room for other hands to draw stuff.
So, in the spirit of Improv and ComicJams, yes. It may or may not spark something. It may simmer for a while and become something else.
The cartoon signature below was always intended for credit. So, as long as it’s funny and punches up, we’re open.
